The Challenge
Paardevlei is a specialised medical facility in Somerset West housing multiple independent medical practitioners and diagnostic departments. They faced high electricity costs, owners’ intent to become more sustainable, complex multi-tenant billing requiring 100% accuracy, and growing grid instability from loadshedding events affecting critical patient care.
Our Solution
We designed an integrated solution combining a 173 kWp Solar PV System, a 160 kWh Battery Energy Storage System for seamless transition between backup systems, comprehensive LED & HVAC retrofits, and a billing & sub-metering infrastructure for accurate tenant recovery. The combination of reliable power, cheaper electricity and transparent billing transformed the facility’s energy position.
